- Use the Flag column so the customer can see which line is the complaint (C) and which are repairs you found (R)
- If you use flat-rate pricing, describe the pricing basis clearly and follow the estimate and authorization agreed with the customer
- Keep parts on their own table: a customer questioning a $40 sensor should not be able to hide the labour
- Record any agreed authorization limit clearly; this field does not replace required disclosures or authorization steps
- Date In and Promised Date are both printed — that pair is what the service writer and the customer both remember
- In states that prescribe repair-order wording, keep this as the workshop record and issue the state form alongside it rather than editing this one to imitate it
